Dreamers of Szeglet

Szilvi Heidl and Kinga Wertheimer are the dreamers of Szeglet Community Space. For the first time they met, they immediately felt that their meeting was not accidental.

Salva Vita Foundation has long been planning to create a community space that can serve as the foundation's training and event center, but it can also be a creative space and a workplace for people with disabilities. The ideas of Kinga Tunki-tunki kitchen and community workshop meant a clear connection to this. With the help of his friends and with her help, a group of start-ups was found, and youngsters who were happy to join the initiative soon joined together. Joint thinking and planning were followed, and the application of THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS soon brought the opportunity of implementation closer.

In 2017, under the guidance of Katalin Vég, managing director and with the participation of Nóra Czoboly, project manager the application of the Salva Vita Foundation was successful.

Now the dream seems to be coming true! Keep on following the story...

Szeglet Café is the place where we await our guests not only with good coffees, healthy and delicious food and drinks, but also with seasonal programs. Anyone can come in to spend a quiet hour, chat, or just socialize. The kids will not be bored here either, as we have also created a super children's corner for them, where we organize creative classes for them.

When designing our offer, we kept three important aspects in mind: health awareness, an environmentally friendly approach, and of course, everything should be very delicious. We offer our guests homemade cakes, sandwiches and salads made from quality ingredients and free of additives, and those who are food allergies, skip sugar or crave vegan delicacies will also find a suitable snack for themselves. Soups, bowls and sandwiches are also made from Tunki-tunki products in the building. In this form, these mouth-watering and all kinds of delicacies can be tasted only in our country, in Szeglet. We are environmentally conscious, so we don’t hold plastic bottled drinks at all. 80 percent of our offer is locally made.

In the friendly, spacious and bright space of the café, we are happy to organize and organize corporate events, birthdays, girls' farewells and private brunches.
